The Dynamic Pressure of the Wind and How To Calculate It. |
|
Find the known wind velocity and follow the chart down to the dynamic pressure created by the wind. As an example an 80 m.p.h wind places approximately 16.8 lbs of pressure per square foot of surface area. For the forty foot long side of a single story building that's over 6700 pounds or for 60 feet long it's over 10,000 pounds! There goes the motor home! |
